Corinthian Hills Manor

What is it that truly defines a dream home? Is it lavish and luxurious finishes, abundant amenities or sprawling mountain views? This unique home has it all and takes it a step further, focusing not only on quality finishes but also on what lies below the surface.

Energy efficiency and sustainability are important to many of us today, and this home proves that you can be a good steward of our planet while enjoying the benefits of the high end quality custom finishes of a mountain home. This graceful home combines a beautiful, environmentally responsible design with technology that makes it even more ecologically friendly.

Working together with the owner and designers, RJB Development has constructed a home that utilizes a “House as a System” approach. By looking at the home as a whole and realizing that no one system was enough, the various unique “micro systems” were brought together to function as a high efficiency, beautifully constructed home.

The home utilizes water-saving features such as low-flow plumbing fixtures and smart irrigation systems that water the lawn and plants using an underground drip / micro irrigation system. The home is constructed from engineered environmentally friendly materials, with radiant-heated floors and an efficient lifetime composition and metal roof. Walls contain closed cell spray foam insulation sealing the envelope of the home limiting unwanted air infiltration. European Tilt and Turn Low E2 windows reflect heat and harmful ultraviolet light while providing ample natural ventilation. With the touch of a switch motorized Rolladen security shutters automatically shade the windows to keep rooms cool. The HEPA whole house air circulation system helps maintain a healthy environment and a high level of indoor air quality. All the appliances are Energy Star rated for better efficiency, from the Viking refrigerator to the low-water consumption dishwasher.

On top of everything, this 4000 plus square foot custom home is powered by 45 solar panels. The Sanyo solar photovoltaic (PV) panels comprise a 9.0-kilowatt system that feeds electricity to the grid and effectively spins the home’s meter backwards during Colorado’s abundant sunny days.

Tying together all these unique systems is the home automation system. The automation infrastructure is setup with the capability to efficiently monitor and control lighting, blinds, shutters, irrigation controls, thermostats, the security system, audio and video, weather monitoring, elevator and other components.

It is the hope of all who have helped put this masterpiece together that you have the opportunity to visit this unique home. A home that goes deeper than surface beauty and truly displays an example of what meticulous planning and quality construction can accomplish.
